N​orth Mississippi Storm Chasers and Spotters was the brainchild of founder Brett Wicker, back in 2003. He slowly began bringing in additional members as he found individuals who he felt shared his passion for weather and severe storms and were committed to documenting and reporting on them safely. From those humble beginnings, the team has grown to over 30 members who live throughout North Mississippi. We are all volunteers with varied backgrounds, but we all share the common interest and love of severe weather that the team was first founded on 17 years ago, and have taken that love to build NMSCAS into the preeminent storm chasing team in Mississippi and arguably the Southeast United States with a following of nearly 150,000 followers across the nation, as well around the world.
